*For the 2nd year in a row, Ashland was named the strongest online small business community by internet giant Google. It was honored by receiving the 2014 e-City award at Noble Coffee this past week.*

*Mt. Ashland Ski Area recently completed a survey asking the community for their feedback in terms of what they are looking for in their local ski mountain. The link provides much of the feedback and statistics they received.*

*The Southern Oregon Pride Parade took place this past weekend, and this year’s event had special meaning with the May ruling in Oregon that struck down Oregon’s gay marriage ban.

*Rogue Valley Messenger offers a list of upcoming fall harvest festivals.

*SOU sports news:

The SOU football team has climbed up to number 4 in the NAIA top 25 poll. Well done, Raiders!*

Not to be outdone, the SOU basketball teams are both ranked at or near the top of their conference in the Cascade Conference preseason polls – the men’s basketball team was ranked number 2 and the women’s basketball team was ranked number 1!*

Jared Hixon, a member of SOU’s cross country team, was named Cascade Conference Red Lion Men’s Runner of the Week. Congrats Jared!*

*Expect traffic delays on Thursday evening if you are driving between Ashland and Medford on I-5 as construction crews will be replacing parts of the bridge by exit 24.*
