Art in Ashland OR is alive and well! Ashland is home to a vibrant art scene, thanks to its supportive community, university museum, and more than three dozen art galleries and working studios.

The town’s residents turn out in droves for the First Friday Art Walk on the first Friday of each month. On these days, the galleries stay open until 8pm and provide refreshments while patrons chat with the artists and view live demonstrations.

The monthly First Friday event is taken a step further at A Taste of Ashland, an annual fundraising event which maps out a walking tour of the art in Ashland OR — its galleries and pairs it with local restaurants and regional wineries.

Year round, you can attend a lecture or view an exhibition at SOU’s Schneider Museum of Art, which serves as both an academic and community resource.

And finally, on the weekends from spring to fall, check out Lithia Artisan’s Market behind the plaza on Calle Guanajuato. Running along Ashland Creek, you’ll find a bustling market and eclectic selection of local and handcrafted items.
