No, there isn’t surfing in Ashland OR, but there aren’t many places in the world where you could conceivably leave town, ski in the morning and then surf in the evening. Just about two and a half to three hours away there are spots for surfers to catch some waves. Be forewarned that the coast is rugged and rocky, so it’s important to be safe when heading into the waters. Known spots on the coast for surfing include South Jetty in the Brookings Harbor, Nesika Beach north of Gold Beach and Battle Rock Beach near Port Orford. We suggest contacting a local surf shop for specific locations that are safe.
